Why do you want it?

You seeking a lower-stack solution (~8mm-9mm) that cleans up the cable routing on your Trek Emonda ALR or Trek Domane (Gen IV) SL, SLR, RSL or ALR while using the parts referenced in the Trek Service Manuals.

You want to use a FSA / Vision, Specialized Tarmac SL7, Kalloy Uno, Enve In-Route or other stem on your Trek while keeping the cables neatly tucked away.

What is it?

This part allows you to use FSA ACR split spacers or transition spacers for the FSA ACR system with the above Trek bikes.

In order to work, this part requires the Trek Domane MKIV Headset Split Ring (Part # W5274269). That split ring is listed as the service part for the Emonda ALR in the current service manual, but may not be included with that bike and can be purchased separately from your Trek dealer or via this link: https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/equipment/cycling-components/bike-headsets/trek-domane-mkiv-headset-split-ring/p/W5274269/

To make this system compatible with stems I also offer the following

If you wish to purchase my version of these FSA ACR, FSA SMR or Enve In-Route internal routing adapters that pass hose nuts and hydraulic couplers, those products are listed here: https://aprotobike.com/products/fsa-ns-acr-or-smr-adapters-transition-spacers

Low Stack hose tray kits for partially external use with the FSA / Vision SMR stems are available here: https://aprotobike.com/products/smr-stem-low-stack-hose-guide-for-hydraulic-couplers and https://aproto.myshopify.com/products/smr-stem-low-stack-hose-guide

Adapters for the Kalloy Uno stems are available here:  https://aprotobike.com/products/kalloy-uno-to-fsa-acr-system-internal-routing-adapter-transition-spacer

Adapter kits for the Specialized Tarmac SL7 / SL8 stem are available here: https://aprotobike.com/products/transition-spacer-adapter-for-specialized-s-works-tarmac-sl7-sl8-stem-to-fsa-acr-system-internal-routing

Please message me to discuss options to fit other stems, custom dimensions, custom integration for stems, etc.

How is it Made?

These parts are printed in the USA on Commercial Grade HP Multi-Jet Fusion machines. Parts, like these, designed to hold preload are made using PA12GB. While this material costs over 2x more than traditional PA12 Nylon, the addition of the glass increases its strength under compression by 80% and in this application, eliminates creep. Given that SLS and MJF printed nylons are only 60%-70% of the density of the high-pressure injection-molded parts made by OEMs, this assures OEM level performance.

This part must be properly installed and the headset preloaded to manufacturer specifications.

Stems, bikes, Headset Split Ring, etc. not included.

Part is guaranteed to fit. If not, you will either be eligible for refund or remakes until this part fits.

If you select a custom stem adapter, please message me with details before ordering.

Note: Items are produced when ordered and have a 4-10 day lead time. Custom orders may take up to 4 weeks depending on the sourcing of parts needed to complete the design.

Install om Emonda ALR with Enve Aero Stem

Overall it works. But, it just barely rubs against top of headtube. Still smooth but definite even rubbing sound when turning bars. I used an Enve Aero stem which pinched brake hoses at entry into headtube. 2.5mm spacer below stem fixed that but wish I didn't need it.

I ordered the Domane bearing race but it turned out to be identical to one already in use.

Glad I installed it but it needs to be modified slightly at headtube and where brake hoses enter.

Hi Max, thank you for your purchase and review. I will reach out to you via email re: a replacement. It came to my attention that the batch that your part was made had another customer with the same issue regarding rubbing (also on a 2024 frame) and also reported that the bearing race part on their bike matched the service manual.
