Why do you want it?

Zipp's venerable Service Course SL stem was introduced in 2010 and quickly became a favorite due to its light weight and stiffness. It also comes in a 150mm length, a rarity among lighter-weight road-focused stems.

Designed to fit the -6 degree Service Course SL or Service Course stems to the FSA ACR system, these adapters pin two hydraulic hoses neatly under the stem, bringing them up through the FSA spacers.

Like our popular Kalloy Uno adapter, this product also features the same countersunk look, helping visually blend this classic-looking stem in with the larger ACR split spacers. These adapters also allow hydraulic brake nuts to pass for easy maintenance. 

Please note that these are made only for use with electronic drive trains using hydraulic brakes.

What is it?

This product is a family of stem adapters 3D printed using HP's Nylon 12 with 40% glass bead fill for compression strength and dimensional stability. These are made only for the -6 degree version of the Service Course SL and Service Course stem and allow you to run your brake hoses under the stem, then into the headset. 

As noted before, FSA ACR split spacers can be utilized with this system. Please note that these are not included. This sale is for the adapter only and does not include any stems or other items pictured.

How is it Made?

These parts are printed in the USA on Commercial Grade HP Multi-Jet Fusion machines. Parts, like these, designed to hold preload are made using PA12GB. While this material costs over 2x more than traditional PA12 Nylon, the addition of the glass increases its strength under compression by 80% and in this application, eliminates creep. Given that SLS and MJF printed nylons are only 60%-70% of the density of the high-pressure injection-molded parts made by OEMs, this assures OEM level performance.
